Hey there! This week had some intense moments and was mostly focused on APX.
We announced our new funding and strategy for APX
I wrote a medium post. With some background information on our funding and our investment strategy.
We and our shareholders did a press release and Henric and I did some interviews with journalists from TechCrunch (check out Henric’s Band St. Beaufort at the end), WiWo Gründer (German), and Handelsblatt (German)
On Thursday we did an online investors event with four of our startups and quite some investors.
I was pretty much focused on APX the whole week and there was not too much time for me to read. The time I had to read I spent with two “paper” books:
Onur recommended Inward by Yung Pueblo to me. I really enjoy reading and inspired thinking.
I love coffee. And I really like to understand how to prepare the tastiest coffee and the never-ending quest to actually do it. Scott Rao is a huge inspiration for me and I have been rereading his Professional Barista’s Handbook. I am still fighting with myself if I really need a refractometer.
And then there was Clubhouse. My friend Ole invited me, I registered as “joerg”, and we did a session together on Tuesday with a triple-digit number of people. I deactivated notifications pretty soon (because of overwhelming 🌊) and did another session this morning with Ehsan, John, and a triple-digit number of listeners as well. I enjoyed the conversations quite a bit and I think we were lucky to have good input from the people we had on stage with us. I am wondering how sustainable the rapid growth will be and if Clubhouse will be able to get a long-term slot in people’s communication and/ or content consumption stack. If you want to join Ole and me: Next Tuesday at 12:00 (Berlin time) we will be live in German (Founders - Der Startup Talk aus Berlin)
Luckily there are so many digital things going on in my life that I created a quick and pragmatic bio page using campsite where you (and me) can always find the newest links to pages, profiles, clubhouse events, articles I write and read, and other links.
Thanks for reading my newsletter and have a great weekend and week!
Joerg
